A carbon monoxide (CO) detector is an essential safety device designed to detect the presence of carbon monoxide gas in the surrounding environment. Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas that is extremely dangerous to human health and can even be fatal. This gas is produced by the incomplete combustion of various fuels, such as natural gas, propane, oil, and wood.
1.How to turn on the device:
Long press the power button to turn on the device.
Note: After the device is turned on, the CO detector starts immediately to warm up in order to calibrate the detection sensitivity. The warm - up process lasts about 10 seconds and then the sensor can work normally.
2.How to turn off the device:
Long press the power button to turn off the device.
3.How to switch the temperature unit:
Short press the power button to switch the temperature unit between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
4.How to turn on or turn off the alarm beep:
Short press the power button while the buzzer is beep to turn off the alarm. The alarm will automatically sound after 15 seconds if the concentration still exceeds 50PPM.
5.Backlight on or off:
When the detector is plugged in, the device's screen backlight will remain on.
When the detector is not plugged in, the device will automatically turn off the screen backlight without any operation after 5 minutes. The CO detector continues working and monitoring the carbon monoxide concentration. Users can short press the power button to turn on the backlight.
6.Low battery alarm:
When the battery falls lower than 15% of full charge, the device will sound an audible alarm of "be - be - be" every 5 minutes.
